HYDRO TESTING
SERVICE SCOPE

We provide complete Hydro Testing services for piping and pipeline systems in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Chemical facilities.


The service covers the activities required to prepare, test, inspect, and reinstate piping systems following an approved test procedure.

Process

SERVICE PROCESS

  • Review of approved P&IDs, isometric drawings, and test packages.
  • Identification and verification of test boundaries.
  • Inspection of piping and components before testing.
  • Installation of temporary test connections, manifolds, vents, and drains.
  • Installation of calibrated pressure gauges and recording instruments.
  • Installation of test blinds, end blinds, blind flanges, spades, and spectacle blinds.
  • Verification of blind locations against approved drawings.
  • Tagging and identification of temporary blinds.
  • Connection of water-filling equipment.
  • Controlled filling of the piping system.
  • Venting of trapped air through high-point vents.
  • Confirmation that the test section is completely filled before pressurization.
  • Controlled pressurization using certified hydrotest pumps.
  • Raising pressure to the approved test pressure.
  • Pressure stabilization and holding for the specified test period.
  • Monitoring and recording of test pressure.
  • Visual inspection of accessible piping, welds, flanges, valves, and connections.
  • Identification and reporting of leakage or other defects.
  • Controlled release of test pressure.
  • Draining of test water through approved drainage points.
  • Removal of temporary test equipment.
  • Flushing or drying where required by the project specification.
  • Removal of temporary test blinds and isolation devices.
  • Reinstallation of permanent piping components.
  • Final flange assembly and bolting.
  • Hydraulic or controlled torqueing where specified.
  • Restoration of valves, instruments, vents and drains.
  • Final inspection of the tested system.
  • Hydrotest test pack preparation and completion.
